Civil / Structural Engineer (PE) – Break Out of Traditional Design Work
If you’re a structural engineer who enjoys solving problems—but are tired of doing the same design work over and over—this could be a very different (and rewarding) path.
We’re working with a
consulting engineering firm
that specializes in
forensic engineering and structural investigations —and they’re growing.
Why Engineers Make the Move:
Pay for performance
– your output and expertise directly impact your earnings
Work/life balance
– no constant deadline-driven production cycles
Flexible schedule
– more control over your time and workload
Variety of work
– every project is different (failures, defects, storm damage, etc.)
Client-facing role
– not stuck behind a desk all day
Work alongside professionals in the
legal and insurance fields
Opportunity to build
expert-level credibility
in your field
What You’ll Do:
Investigate
structural failures, construction defects, and property damage
Conduct
site inspections
and analyze structural systems
Determine
cause of damage or failure
Prepare clear, well-supported engineering reports
Communicate findings with clients, attorneys, and insurance professionals
Background We’re Seeking:
Civil/Structural Engineer (PE required)
5+ years of structural engineering experience
Experience in building design, construction, or structural analysis
No prior forensic experience required—many successful engineers come from
traditional design backgrounds .
