Our client is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented

Staff Accountant

with at least

2 years of relevant experience

to join a growing team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong accounting support background, proven job stability, and hands-on experience managing receivables, billing, reconciliations, and related administrative duties.
A degree is preferred but not required. What is most important is a solid background in accounting operations and a consistent work history.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the accounts receivable and billing process to ensure accurate and timely invoicing and collections
Record all cash receipts accurately and promptly
Reconcile customer deposits
Review aging reports and follow up weekly on past-due accounts, including short payment notices
Partner with customer service to resolve invoice disputes and billing discrepancies
Assist with monitoring shipped sales to ensure accurate reporting and collection of contracted fees
Prepare journal entries as needed
Perform account reconciliations and bank reconciliations
Assist with raw materials receiving activities to help ensure cost accuracy and minimize variances
Support freight cost tracking, accruals, and allocation by product line
Assist with customer rebate calculations and accruals
Calculate and allocate customer cash discounts by product line
Provide backup support for phones and other general office duties as needed
Assist with general ledger filing and invoice filing
Occasionally use personal vehicle for business-related tasks
Qualifications
2+ years of experience in accounts receivable, billing, or general accounting support
Strong background in invoicing, collections, cash applications, and reconciliations
Experience with journal entries, account reconciliations, and bank reconciliations
Ability to manage multiple priorities and follow through on collections activity consistently
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Effective communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with customer service and internal teams
Stable work history with dependable tenure in prior roles
Degree preferred, but not required
