Supervising Senior Accountant

Position Overview:
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Senior Accountant to join their growing accounting team. This role is ideal for a candidate with 3–5 years of experience, preferably coming out of public accounting, with exposure to financial services and/or publicly traded companies. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in financial reporting, general ledger management, and supporting the overall accounting function in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP
Assist with external reporting requirements, including SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q) where applicable
Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness
Support the month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations
Partner with cross-functional teams to analyze financial results and variances
Assist with technical accounting research and implementation of new accounting standards
Coordinate with external auditors during audits and quarterly reviews
Contribute to process improvements and internal control enhancements
Financial Reporting & Corporate Accounting Focus:
Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting for internal and external stakeholders
Prepare supporting schedules and disclosures for financial statements
Monitor and analyze key balance sheet and income statement accounts
Assist in developing and maintaining accounting policies and procedures
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
3–5 years of relevant experience; public accounting experience a must
Experience in financial services and/or publicly traded company environment is a plus
Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting requirements
CPA or CPA-eligible is highly preferred
Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with ERP systems
Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills
