The ideal candidate will have strong project management experience in the IT domain, excellent bilingual communication skills (Japanese/English), and the ability to work onsite across both locations.
Key Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end IT project management activities including planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery
Coordinate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and external clients to ensure project success
Serve as the primary liaison between Japanese-speaking stakeholders and English-speaking teams
Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, and resources effectively
Identify risks, issues, and dependencies, and implement mitigation strategies
Facilitate meetings, status updates, and reporting in both Japanese and English
Ensure alignment with client requirements, business goals, and IT standards
Support system implementation, upgrades, and integration projects
Maintain project documentation and ensure compliance with organizational processes
Required Qualifications
Fluent in
Japanese and English
(spoken and written)
Proven experience as an
IT Project Manager
or similar role
Strong understanding of IT systems, infrastructure, or software development lifecycle (SDLC)
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
Experience working in client-facing environments
Preferred Qualifications
PMP, PRINCE2, or other project management certification
Experience working with Japanese companies or in a cross-cultural environment
Familiarity with enterprise IT environments, networking, or cloud technologies
Experience with Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall methodologies
