Records Management Clerk Youth Apprentice

Some Typical Duties & Responsibilities Include:

Participants will be enrolled in a Registered Youth Apprenticeship Program for approximately 2-years to foster skill attainment and earn a nationally recognized and portable credential through the Department of Labor. Apprentices will support the Records Management (RM) Group in processing records. Processing will include scheduling and receipt, pulling records from storage areas, preparing records for data entry/scanning, offsite shipment, and/or for destruction.

Major Responsibilities

• General office duties as required by SRNS supervision
• Effectively utilize standard office/business applications (email, Microsoft Office, etc.)
• Operate computer to enter/extract data
• Operate copiers, microfiche, and other office equipment required to perform assignments
• Distribute reports
• Filing of documents
• Communicate problems to supervision
• Follow office, safety, and security procedures
• Work with the Apprenticeship Team on group projects, career fairs, and STEM events in the community.

Required Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Must have valid driver's license and transportation.
• Must successfully complete Savannah River Site General Employee Training and substance abuse processing.
