What You'll Do
The Commercial Pool Equipment Installation Technician is responsible for installing, commissioning, and supporting commercial pool mechanical and chemical feed systems. This role works independently and with project teams to ensure installations are completed safely, correctly, and in compliance with manufacturer specifications, applicable codes, and customer requirements. The technician plays a critical role in delivering reliable, high quality pool systems and ensuring customer satisfaction at startup.
Install commercial pool equipment including chemical feed systems, controllers, pumps, valves, sensors, and associated plumbing.
Read and interpret installation drawings, specifications, manuals, and site plans.
Perform basic water testing, interpret and adjust control equipment.
Coordinate on-site work with customers, general contractors, electricians, plumbers, and internal service teams.
Ensure installations comply with local codes, safety requirements, and manufacturer standards.
☆ Perform system startups, calibration, leak testing, and operational verification
Troubleshoot and resolve installation-related issues during and after startup
Document completed installations, commissioning results, and as=built conditions
Train customers or site personnel on basic system operation and safety
Maintain installations tools, vehicles, PPE, and inventory
Follow all safety, environmental, and jobsite requirements at all times.
Provide feedback to engineering, sales, and service teams on installations challenges or improvements.

What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
2+ years of experience installing or servicing commercial pool equipment, industrial equipment, or related mechanical systems
Working knowledge of plumbing systems (PVC, CPVC, valves, fittings)
Basic electrical knowledge (low-voltage controls, sensors, interlocks)
Ability to read technical drawings and equipment manuals
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
Ability to travel to customer sites and work in mechanical rooms and outdoor environments
Preferred Qualifications
Commercial pool industry experience (hotels, resorts, aquatic centers, casinos, healthcare, or municipal facilities)
Pool Operator, CPO, or equivalent certification
Experience with chemical feed and control systems
Familiarity with local health department or pool code requirements
OSHA safety training or similar field safety certifications
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs
Ability to stand, kneel, climb, and work in confined or wet mechanical environments
Work may include indoor and outdoor installations in varying weather conditions
Travel may include overnight stays depending on project location
