This position is responsible for safe, effective, and efficient processing of activities related to preparing and processing outgoing shipments. Position will require the following essential duties and responsibilities as well as other duties as assigned. This position reports directly to the Shipping Supervisor.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Adheres to SafeRack SOPs, quality standards and safety regulations to perform job duties in a safe, effective, and efficient manner.
Performs order picking, packaging, labeling, handling, loading and other tasks in a timely and efficient manner to meet sales order ship dates.
Perform QC inspection for outgoing orders.
Perform cycle counts for inventory as required.
Assist with Shipping/Inventory tasks in other departments as dictated by work demands.
Maintain a safe, orderly, and clean workspace.
Displays professional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills when interacting with management, employees, vendors, and customers.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Job Requirements
Experience working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Minimum Education Required: High School Diploma or equivalent
Attention to detail and basic analytical abilities.
Basic mathematics skills.
Basic computer skills (MS Office applications).
Must be able to obtain forklift certification
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Ability to stand and walk continuously (75% or more)
Ability to bend, twist, reach, kneel, climb, handle/manipulate frequently (25% to 75%)
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently (25% to 75%)
Ability to push and pull up to 50 lbs. frequently (25% to 75%)
