Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled
Payroll Data Reporting Analyst
to support ongoing reporting needs within the Payroll Support organization. This consultant will work closely with internal and external partners to analyze data requests, generate SQL-based reports, and ensure accuracy and integrity across all payroll data outputs. The ideal candidate has strong Oracle SQL experience, advanced Excel skills, and the ability to translate reporting requirements into effective technical solutions.
This role is hybrid with a preference for candidates who can work onsite in Memphis, TN
two days per week , though remote candidates may also be considered.
Responsibilities
Develop, run, and optimize
Oracle SQL queries
to generate payroll-related reports.
Review incoming data/reporting requests in
ServiceNow
and determine whether new SQL queries need to be created or existing ones can be leveraged.
Analyze data sets, identify discrepancies, and ensure accuracy and completeness of reporting.
Collaborate with the Payroll Support team and cross-functional partners to deliver timely, accurate data outputs.
Maintain compliance with internal reporting standards and data integrity requirements.
Support the team by reducing operational risk through reliable and efficient reporting.
Document queries, reporting processes, and audit trails as needed.
Work closely with a team of four full-time payroll support analysts and assist with workload balancing.
Required Skills & Experience
Strong Oracle SQL experience
- ability to write, modify, and troubleshoot complex queries.
Advanced Excel skills , including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas, and data manipulation.
Ability to analyze large datasets and determine appropriate reporting solutions.
Experience using
ServiceNow
to manage or fulfill data/reporting requests.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills
PeopleSoft experience
- highly desirable and considered a major bonus.
Background in payroll, HRIS, or related data/reporting environments.
Experience working in large enterprise or shared services environments.
