Electrical Engineering
Alignerr, Dallas, TX, United States
Electrical Engineering Expert (AI Training)
About The Role
We're looking for electrical engineering professionals to help train and evaluate cutting‑edge AI models. Your domain expertise will directly shape how AI reasons through complex engineering problems — from circuit analysis to power systems — making a real impact on the future of technical AI. This is a flexible, fully remote contract role where your knowledge becomes the benchmark.
Organization: Alignerr
Type: Hourly Contract
Location: Remote
Commitment: 10–40 hours/week
What You’ll Do
Design challenging problems across electrical engineering domains — circuit analysis, signal processing, power systems, control systems, and electromagnetics — to stress‑test AI performance
Author gold‑standard solutions by writing rigorous, step‑by‑step technical responses that serve as benchmarks for AI learning
Audit AI outputs — evaluate generated circuit diagrams, mathematical proofs, and code for technical accuracy, safety, and adherence to engineering standards (IEEE, NEC, etc.)
Sharpen AI reasoning by identifying logical gaps and providing structured feedback that improves how the model thinks through engineering challenges
Document failure modes across areas like embedded systems, robotics, and engineering simulations so AI reasoning can be systematically hardened
Who You Are
Pursuing or holding a Master’s or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a closely related discipline
Strong foundational knowledge in one or more core areas: VLSI, control systems, telecommunications, power electronics, or signal processing
Able to communicate highly technical concepts clearly and precisely in written form
Detail‑oriented when working with mathematical equations, circuit logic, and technical documentation
Self‑motivated and comfortable working independently and asynchronously
No prior AI experience required
Nice to Have
Experience with data annotation, technical evaluation, or quality assurance workflows
Familiarity with simulation tools (SPICE, MATLAB, etc.)
Background in applied or industry engineering roles
Why Join Us
Work on some of the most advanced AI models being built today, in partnership with leading AI research labs
Fully remote and flexible — work on your schedule, from anywhere
Freelance autonomy with meaningful, intellectually stimulating work
Contribute to improving how AI handles real engineering problems at a foundational level
Potential for ongoing work and contract extension
