Electrical Engineering Expert (AI Training)
We're partnering with the world's leading AI research labs to train the next generation of intelligent systems — and we need experienced electrical engineers to help us do it. Your domain expertise will directly shape how AI understands and reasons through complex engineering problems, from circuit analysis to power systems to signal processing.
This is a fully remote, flexible contract role where your technical knowledge becomes the benchmark for cutting‑edge AI.
Organization: Alignerr
Type: Hourly Contract
Location: Remote
Commitment: 10–40 hours/week
What You'll Do
Design Challenging Problems — Create advanced electrical engineering problems across domains including circuit analysis, power systems, electromagnetics, signal processing, and control systems to rigorously test AI performance.
Author Gold‑Standard Solutions — Develop detailed, step‑by‑step technical solutions that serve as the ground‑truth benchmark for AI learning and reasoning.
Audit AI Outputs — Evaluate AI‑generated circuit diagrams, mathematical proofs, and technical code for accuracy, safety, and adherence to industry standards (IEEE, NEC, and others).
Sharpen AI Reasoning — Identify logical flaws and reasoning errors in AI responses, then provide structured feedback that helps the model think more like an expert engineer.
Work Asynchronously — Complete tasks independently on a schedule that works for you.
Who You Are
Pursuing or holding a Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
Strong foundational knowledge in one or more core areas: VLSI, control systems, telecommunications, power electronics, or embedded systems.
Able to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and precisely in writing.
Highly detail‑oriented when working with mathematical equations, circuit logic, and technical documentation.
Self‑motivated and comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
No prior AI experience required.
Nice to Have
Experience with data annotation, technical writing, or quality evaluation.
Familiarity with simulation tools (MATLAB, SPICE, etc.).
Knowledge of engineering standards and safety requirements.
Why Join Us
Work on some of the most advanced AI projects in the world alongside top research teams.
Fully remote and flexible — set your own hours and work from anywhere.
Freelance perks: autonomy, variety, and collaboration with a global community of experts.
Make a meaningful contribution to how AI understands engineering and science.
Potential for ongoing work and contract extension.
