Position: Jira Developer
Client: Direct Client
Duration: 6+ Months (with high possibility of extension in FY)
Location: Austin, TX (Remote)
Must have led administration of an enterprise Jira Cloud environment (multi-project, multi-team) and served as the primary Jira configuration owner.
While Atlassian Access is primarily managed by another organization, the candidate must have a proficient understanding of Active Directory, access controls, and identity management for success in this role.
Job Description:
• Design, configure, and maintain Jira Software and Jira ITSM projects in the Atlassian Cloud environment.
• Develop and optimize advanced JQL queries, workflows, automations, and permissions to support business operations.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver scalable Jira solutions.
• Utilize Jira REST APIs and scripting (HTML/JavaScript) for customizations and integrations.
• Work with key plugins such as ScriptRunner, JMWE, Email This Issue, Extension for Jira Service Desk, • Provide clear, well-structured documentation and communicate technical concepts effectively to diverse audiences.
Minimum Requirements:
Years-Required/Preferred-Experience
8-Required-Experience managing Jira Software and ITSM projects, including workflows, permissions, and automations.
5-Required-Expert-level proficiency in JQL (Jira Query Language) for building complex queries.
5-Required-Experience using Jira REST APIs and scripting languages for custom integrations and enhancements.
5-Required-Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; ability to document technical processes clearly
4-Required-Hands-on experience with plugins like ScriptRunner, JMWE, and Email
4-Required-Hands-on experience with PowerBI Connector and easyBI
4-Required-administration of an enterprise Jira Cloud environment and served as the primary Jira admin
