Project Scope:
The
IT Infrastructure & Operations Project Manager
will lead and manage
network infrastructure and server-related projects
for a state healthcare agency. This role focuses on driving project execution, improving operational processes, and ensuring successful delivery of IT infrastructure initiatives aligned with business and regulatory requirements.
• Support IT Infrastructure & Operations (I&O) initiatives
• Manage network, server, and system-related projects
• Drive process improvement, reporting, and project governance
• Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders
Key Responsibilities:
Project Leadership & Delivery
Lead IT infrastructure and server-related projects from initiation to completion
Define project scope, objectives, timelines, and deliverables
Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards
Process & Methodology Implementation
Establish and implement project management methodologies and best practices
Drive SDLC processes and ensure alignment with organizational standards
Improve efficiency, reporting structures, and operational workflows
Stakeholder & Team Management
Collaborate with technical teams, business stakeholders, and vendors
Lead and mentor project administration team members
Communicate effectively with leadership and cross-functional teams
Risk & Performance Management
Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks
Monitor project progress and provide status reports and metrics
Ensure all deliverables meet project milestones and deadlines
Documentation & Reporting
Develop and maintain project plans, reports, and documentation
Utilize tools such as MS Project, Microsoft Office, and SolarWinds
Prepare reports for both technical and non-technical audiences
Infrastructure & Technical Coordination
Support projects involving network infrastructure, server operations, and system implementations
Participate in system assessments and technology evaluations
Collaborate on infrastructure improvements and modernization efforts
Required Skills & Experience:
• 10+ years of experience in
Project Management
• 5+ years of experience in
IT Infrastructure (network, server, system operations)
• Strong experience with
SDLC methodologies and project governance
• Experience with
project management tools (MS Project)
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Skills:
• Experience in
healthcare or public sector environments (Medicaid, Social Services)
• Knowledge of
HIPAA, CDC, and infrastructure security frameworks
• Experience with
Microsoft technologies and SolarWinds tools
• Additional IT certifications
Education & Certifications:
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience)
PMP
Certification (Required)
