Official Title: Java/Angular Developer-Full Stack
Onsite/Hybrid/Remote: Hybrid IN Indianapolis IN
Contract 8 Months-till end of the year
Hybrid Schedule: 50% onsite 50% remote: Tuesday/Wednesday onsite one week and then Tues./Wed,/Thursday) every other week.

Timeframe/Interview Process:
All interviews will be held onsite and face to face interview with the manager and one or 2 of the developers. It is a one and done interview so that is why they do it face to face. It will be both technical and behavioral.
Duties:
The JAVA/Angular Developer will work within an applications development team which is responsible for core application development for two certain areas supporting agency and member management. This is a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This role will focus on building and enhancing modern applications across the full stack, with an emphasis on Java backend development and Angular front-end frameworks.
Additional responsibilities include:
Design, develop, and maintain applications using full-stack Java technologies.
Design, develop, and maintain full stack applications using Java and Angular
Build and enhance RESTful APIs and microservices
Develop responsive, user-friendly front-end components
Work with relational databases to design and optimize SQL queries
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business analysts, QA, and product owners
Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement
Troubleshoot, debug, and support production applications
Contribute to architectural decisions and best practices
Build and enhance enterprise insurance applications
Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and continuous integration activities.
Utilize Git for source control and Jira for work tracking and sprint execution.
Troubleshoot, debug, and enhance existing applications.
Participate in unit testing and validation of rating logic, data, and configurations prior to model updates or releases.
Required Skills:
3+ years of proven full stack Java development experience
developing enterprise

level applications.
Experience with Java 17 or higher + Spring Boot
Experience with Angular (19 or higher) Client is moving to Angular 21
Proficiency with SQL, IBM DB2, including complex queries and stored procedures.
Experience with RESTful API development.
Experience working within Agile methodologies.
Familiarity with Git workflows for version control.
Experience using Jira for task management and sprint planning.
Skills/Characteristics:
Bachelors degree is preferred but not required
Experience with React
(Expo experience is a plus)
Experience with C# /.NET technologies
Familiar with Cloud technologies (Azure or AWS)
Experience within financial services, insurance, or other enterprise environments
The work will be an even split between front end and backend, it really just depends on the project. The majority of the applications this team works with are written in Java, and the website runs on Syteline which has some C# tied into and .Net. C# is not a requirement but a nice to have.
They want a full-stack Java developer that has experience with the more recent versions of Angular (they are on 19 and moving to 21),
Springboot, and REST API's. The manager also has a very strong preference for a Bachelors's degree. The team also is running in an Agile framework.
