What You Will Do
Own major initiatives across high-traffic surfaces, starting with Search Results and Details, focusing on Core Web Vitals, SEO, and conversion metrics.
Lead technical design for large changes, driving alignment with Product and Design teams, while making pragmatic trade-offs.
Define and implement reusable patterns within a Next.js App Router codebase, including routing, data fetching, and component architecture.
Raise the quality bar through code reviews and mentorship, helping junior engineers level up quickly.
Improve developer velocity by shaping tooling and practices, including testing strategies and observability metrics.
Ideal Candidate Background
7+ years of experience building production web applications with a focus on frontend technologies.
Deep expertise in React and Next.js, with a strong understanding of SSR/SPA architecture.
Proven ability to lead projects end-to-end, from design through to launch and iteration.
Experience optimizing frontend performance, including improving Core Web Vitals and load times.
Strong communication skills, capable of collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred
Experience with high-traffic consumer or marketplace products.
Background in leading frontend rewrites or significant migrations.
Familiarity with modern testing frameworks and observability tools.
Compensation and Benefits
