KCOM - Rotation Site Coordinator (remote)
A.T. Still University's Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine (ATSU-KCOM) is seeking a full-time, non-exempt Rotation Site Coordinator (Off-site). The individual in this position is responsible to assist in facilitating KCOM clinical curriculum (years 3 and 4) and to provide administrative support in the region as needed. Other general responsibilities include frequent communication with the on-site coordinator and DSME to ensure documentation is distributed and schedule rotations. This position reports to the Director of Student Medical Education (DSME) and the Director of Clinical Affairs.
Duties & Responsibilities
First line communication to assist students with schedules, questions, concerns and problems.
Schedule rotations, assist in development of overall student plan and communicate with preceptors to inform/confirm student activities in conjunction with the on-site coordinator.
Responsible for all paperwork for out-of-region rotations and inform students as appropriate. Ensure required paperwork is circulated as appropriate.
Utilize University identified electronic tracking program to maintain accurate rotation and student information.
Maintain database of active preceptors for medical students.
Prepare letters of good standing, complete needed documents, facilitate affiliation agreements and ensure all required paperwork is processed for all student rotations.
Assist in development of third and fourth year student schedules and monitor progress (audits).
Utilize electronic tracking program to maintain student information.
Work with on-site coordinator to maintain current contact information for students.
Track and follow-up with students related to exam results.
Provide list of active preceptors for annual recognition project in conjunction with on-site coordinator.
Generate reports related to site assigned students as needed.
Provide site specific information for campus publications (site guide, surveys, etc.) as needed in conjunction with on-site coordinator.
Assist with student site tours, orientation, annual site visit (as needed). Attend annual conference held in Kirksville as available.
Requirements
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree preferred.
Must have experience in Business/Management (or combination of education and experience).
Excellent organizational, written and verbal skills.
Typing, data entry, and ability to multi-task.
Must have experience utilizing electronic database to scan/store/monitor entries.
Professionalism expected and the ability to handle stressful situations.
Possess problem solving skills.
