The new application, STARS, is being developed to meet the changing needs of the department and taxpayers.
The Department is seeking additional resources to assist existing staff with the different work streams involved in the conversion of this application. The approach by the vendor and Department will focus on one tax type at a time. 9 Job Description • Develop and maintain PL/SQL scripts, packages, stored procedures, and database objects supporting the STARS system conversion and modernization project.
• Develop data cleansing scripts and support analysis activities to prepare legacy tax data for migration from TAS to the new system.
• Build data extraction and conversion scripts to extract and transform Oracle database data to meet project migration requirements.
• Develop stored procedures and database-based interfaces supporting inbound and outbound system integrations and potential API integration endpoints.
• Modify and support Oracle Forms and Reports components related to tax type processing within the STARS implementation.
• Support batch processing updates and enhancements to ensure accurate data processing and migration.
• Execute system defect analysis and implement fixes related to database logic, migration processes, and application functionality.
• Collaborate with technical leads and business analysts to implement technical requirements and business rules defined during design sessions with data owners.
• Participate in unit testing, interface testing, and integration testing activities to ensure system functionality and data accuracy.
• Support database structure changes, data fixes, and technical updates required during migration and implementation phases.
• Assist with the development and maintenance of technical documentation including design artifacts for online, batch, reporting, and interface processes.
