Controls & Systems Integration Technician (Industrial Networking & OT)
We are seeking a highly technical Systems Integration Technician to support the deployment and maintenance of networked industrial systems within advanced technology environments. This role bridges the gap between traditional electrical systems and modern Operational Technology (OT), requiring a mix of hardware troubleshooting, networking expertise, and field commissioning.
Key Responsibilities
• Industrial Networking: Configure and maintain network devices (VLANs, subnets, and firewalls) to ensure seamless communication across industrial systems.
• Systems Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex hardware and software issues within PLC and OT environments.
• Project Documentation: Develop detailed Statements of Work (SOW) for electrical contractors and interpret sophisticated wiring diagrams and schematics.
• Field Commissioning: Perform hands-on verification and commissioning services, utilizing diagnostic tools such as multimeters and flowmeters.
• Infrastructure Support: Maintain virtualized environments and apply essential cybersecurity best practices to protect networked industrial assets.
• Global Coordination: Collaborate with cross-functional and global teams to align on technical specifications and system configurations.
Required Qualifications
• Education: Associate Degree or equivalent vocational/technical degree in a related field.
• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of design and construction specifications.
• Experience: Proven experience working in active construction environments, including performing field verifications.
• Software: Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Access, Outlook, and Excel).
• Communication: Exceptional verbal and written skills for coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.
• Analytical Skills: Demonstrated ability to analyze complex technical issues and implement effective, scalable solutions.
Preferred Skills & Expertise
• Industrial Software: Basic knowledge of Cimplicity SCADA programming or similar industrial control software.
• Advanced Facilities: Design or support experience in Semiconductor manufacturing or Data Center environments.
• Tools & Drafting: Proficiency with AutoCAD and standard electrical diagnostic tools.
• Systems Logic: A solid understanding of controls systems, networking protocols, and electrical/mechanical schematics.
• Cybersecurity: A foundational understanding of cybersecurity principles as they apply to industrial networks.
