Desktop Technician I

The Desktop Technician role will install, configure, maintain, and repair computer hardware, software, operating systems, and peripherals. They will also provide technical support and training to end users in the use of hardware, software, and accessories (including BYOD where applicable). Travel will be required as needed to other locations but will rarely be overnight.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

Hardware / software support to our internal clients

PC imaging and deployment
Cellular device and tablet support (both corporate owned and BYOD)
Perform installation, configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of end-user technology
Responds to incidents that are escalated by the Support Center staff within established SLA's and with the appropriate level of urgency
Assists in relocating computing hardware for single, multi-client and branch moves
Project Management Functions

Assist / Co-manage the relevant technology portions of Facilities projects (building openings, moves, closures, renovations) from kickoff to closure
Assist / Co-manage various technology projects for the Desktop Team and Support Center
Participates in project meetings pertaining to assigned projects as appropriate
Administrative Functions

Uses corporate incident management/service fulfillment system to record and track all support tasks
Maintains IT asset management records hardware and software
Contributes to the improvement and enhancement of current processes and procedures
Gains additional knowledge and stays abreast of current technologies through employee and company sponsored training, periodicals, and regular interaction with other team members
Ensure consistent adherence to hardware and software standards; as well as support issues for First Financial LOBs
Other duties as assigned by management

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Needed to Perform Essential Functions of the Job:

1 - 3 years hands on experience providing hardware/software support
Demonstrated experience successfully working in cross-functional teams
Demonstrated experience working in a fast paced, very fluid, "dynamic" environment
Associate's Degree and/or 1-3 years related experience in information technology or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Thorough knowledge of computer Hardware / Software
Thorough experience with Windows PC operating systems
Advanced written and oral communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills, with a focus on rapport-building, listening and questioning skills
Excellent customer service orientation
Working knowledge of voice and data networking protocols
Advanced knowledge of all Microsoft Office products, including Visio and Project
Advanced problem-solving skills; ability to effectively prioritize and complete tasks

Basic SCCM knowledge

Occasionally lift / team lift 50-100 lbs.

Compliance Statement: The associate is responsible for meeting all compliance requirements imposed on First Financial Bank by State and Federal law and regulation, as well as all related First Financial Bank policies and procedures. This includes all Bank Secrecy Act, Anti-Money Laundering, OFAC and Suspicious Activity reporting requirements, as well as all other lending and deposit compliance requirements.

Pay Range:

$23.56/hr to $28.37/hr
