Job Overview: The facility in Landisville, PA, is an ITAR site. We are seeking a forward-thinking, collaborative supervisor at our manufacturing plant. This critical leadership role is responsible for supervising the manufacturing workforce in a production facility and for safely producing products at costs, quality, and quantity consistent with division and plant objectives. Must ensure that productive equipment is properly maintained and that adequate and trained personnel at all levels are available to effectively carry out production operations and meet production schedules.
Tasks Summary & Responsibilities:
Coordinating production activities among operators and ensuring standard, efficient processes are followed.
Supervisory responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training, scheduling, monitoring work, providing communication, feedback, and ongoing support, conducting performance reviews, supporting career development, administering discipline, addressing complaints, and resolving issues in accordance with applicable laws and/or company policy.
Monitors and ensures a positive work environment for employees.
Directs production activities in accordance with safety procedures, production schedules, and established priorities, ensuring maximum utilization of assigned resources, machines, personnel, and materials.
Oversees production operations for an assigned shift using documented planning methods that allow for reaction to unforeseen changes in demand or capacity.
Ensures production variances for materials, scrap, and usage are kept within established goals for the assigned shift.
Follows engineering specifications for process parameters and makes adjustments as needed to bring the product into specification.
Evaluates and suggests alternative production methods for continuous improvement.
Assists production leads and operators in the interpretation of procedures, methods, and the correct use of production equipment to ensure procedures are followed.
Maintains a working knowledge of production components and the associated next-tier application.
Recommends design and development of tooling and equipment, i.e., fixtures, material handling equipment, production gauges, and inspection devices as required for new and existing production.
Holds regular meetings with production leads and operators to facilitate production requirements, consistency, and teamwork.
Solicits assistance from Engineering on tooling and product inspection to ensure maximum tool utilization, production-capable tolerances, and expedient processing of nonconforming materials.
Participates in team-driven activities to facilitate production improvements or new program development projects.
Understands and supports quality and safety policies and implements guidelines to assure adherence to quality and safety documents and standards.
What your background should look like: Associate's degree preferred with a minimum of 2 years of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent work experience. Minimum 2 years' experience within a manufacturing environment, preferably with stamping, plating, and assembly management involved in the production process. Must have strong leadership skills. Experience with the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel). Extended periods of walking, standing, or sitting may be required. Must be proficient in the English language.
Compensation: Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $76,400 - $114,500 (subject to change dependent on physical location). A comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, 401(k), disability, life insurance, employee stock purchase plan, paid time off and voluntary benefits.
