Pay Rate: $19.00 an hour
Summary:
Responsible for removing currency and equivalents from gaming and non-gaming machines and processing currency and equivalents accordingly. Responsible for a high level of guest service as described in the minimum guest service expectations.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities:
Remove currency from gaming and non-gaming machines according to department policies, procedures and Minimum Internal Control Standards (MICS)
Process currency on the counter/sorter equipment in conjunction with department policies, procedures and Minimum Internal Control Standards (MICS)
Verify the strap and loose count against the Slot Accounting System and the Table Games Management System processing totals
Report any discrepancies to the supervisor
Ensure that all bill stackers are properly seated into the bill acceptors
Input the currency processed totals for table games into the Table Games Management System
Enter all non-registered slot drop count of money into the Slot Accounting System
Knowledge And Certification, Skills And Abilities:
Knowledge and Certification:
Required: High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience
Preferred:
Cash handling experience
Skills:
Required: Accurate and detail-oriented, Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills, Excellent problem solving skills, Above average math skills
Preferred:
Basic computer skills Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) and Windows XP
Abilities:
Required: Ability to work fast and efficiently, Ability to follow established dress code policies and practice good personal hygiene, Ability to interact with guests, coworkers and management in a professional and courteous manner, Ability to serve both internal and external customers
Required Training:
Treasure Island guest service training
Department equipment training including bill stacker exchange, currency counting, table games boxes and soft equipment
Any position-related training as determined by department manager
Physical Demands:
Must be able to walk and / or stand and exert fast-paced mobility for periods of up to 8 hours
Must have a good sense of balance, and be able to bend and kneel routinely
Must be able to repetitively push, pull, grip and grasp objects
Must be able to reach and twist routinely
Must have the ability to independently lift 25+ pounds routinely
Must have good eye and hand coordination
Must be able to perform repetitive hand and wrist motions
Working Environment:
Cash Services areas (including Vault), gaming floor and convention center environment including flashing lights, frequent loud noises and cigarette smoke
Must be able to work in cramped, tight quarters
Must be willing to work a flexible schedule including all shifts, weekends and holidays
Occasionally overtime may be required
Occasionally must deal with angry or hostile individuals
