Custodian
United Talent Staffing is seeking a dependable Custodian to support cleaning and facility operations at a large school or office facility in Danielsville, GA. This role is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, safety, and security while ensuring the facility remains in excellent condition.
Position Summary
Perform general janitorial and custodial duties throughout the facility
Clean classrooms, offices, restrooms, lunchrooms, and common areas
Sweep, mop, strip, scrub, wax, and polish floors
Vacuum carpets and mats
Empty trash receptacles and maintain clean workspaces
Clean windows, walls, furniture, lockers, and drinking fountains
Disinfect restrooms and respond to emergency spills
Pick up debris and maintain entrances and walkways
Lock/unlock doors to ensure building security
Operate cleaning equipment (vacuum, floor machines, etc.)
Assist with furniture setup for meetings and events
Report safety hazards or needed repairs to supervisor
Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
Knowledge of basic cleaning methods, materials, and equipment
Ability to safely operate cleaning tools and chemicals
Basic computer skills (email and room reservation systems preferred)
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Strong attention to detail and time management skills
Ability to work independently and maintain a safe, orderly environment
Flexible and dependable with strong communication skills
Experience in custodial or janitorial work preferred but not required. Physical Requirements
Standing/Walking: Continuous
Bending/Twisting: Frequent
Pushing/Pulling: Up to 75 lbs
Occasional reaching above shoulder level
Ability to meet physical demands of cleaning duties
