Dental Assistant Position

A well-established and growing dental practice in Merced, CA is seeking a motivated and skilled Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to join a collaborative and patient-focused clinical team. This modern practice offers a full scope of general dentistry and utilizes advanced technology to provide high-quality patient care. The Registered Dental Assistant will play a key role in assisting the doctors chairside, preparing operatories, maintaining efficient clinical flow, and supporting a positive patient experience. Responsibilities
Assist the doctor chairside during a wide range of dental procedures
Prepare and sterilize instruments and treatment rooms
Take digital radiographs and assist with diagnostic imaging
Perform coronal polishing and dental sealants when appropriate
Prepare patients for treatment and ensure comfort throughout procedures
Maintain accurate patient charting and clinical notes
Follow OSHA and infection control protocols
Assist with impressions, temporaries, and restorative procedures
Support efficient clinical flow and patient scheduling
Requirements
Current California Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) License
Coronal Polishing Certification
Dental Sealant License
Dental X-Ray Certification
Current CPR / BLS Certification
Knowledge of infection control and OSHA standards
Strong clinical and organizational skills
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Experience assisting in general dentistry preferred
