Seasonal Outdoor Recreation Instructor
Washington County Public Works Department is currently hiring for a Seasonal Outdoor Recreation Instructor. This position is responsible for instruction/teaching outdoor-related skills and activities that include, but are not limited to cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, fishing, geocaching, hiking, and other outdoor-related programs. The position also assists in the planning and scheduling of recreation, interpretive and historic programs.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years of age;
Ability to read, write, and follow written and oral instructions;
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays throughout employment.
Desirable Experience:
Work experience in outdoor recreation activities/programming;
Work experience with youth programming;
Work experience with program registration and curriculums.
Hours/Days: 20-40 hours per week. Mostly daytime hours but may include some evenings and weekends. Work schedules (hours and days) are subject to change based on department needs.
Anticipated Rate of Pay: $17.52 - $18.86 Hourly
E-Verify Participation: Washington County participates in the federal E-Verify program. This means that Washington County will provide the Social Security Administration (SSA) and, if necessary, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), with information from each new employee's Form I-9 to confirm work authorization.
