The University of Texas at San Antonio, University College, Multidisciplinary Studies Program invites applications for Professor of Practice in the Hospitality and Events Management track of the Multidisciplinary Studies Program.

University College and Multidisciplinary Studies Program
University College
is one of nine colleges at UT San Antonio and one of the only colleges that interacts with almost every new student as they start their journey at UTSA. The college is home to Academic Introduction and Strategies (AIS), Multidisciplinary Studies, The Writing Program, Dual Credit, and Army and Air Force ROTC.

Multidisciplinary Studies Program
The Multidisciplinary Studies program in University College at UT San Antonio consists of fixed-term faculty members who support students in customized degree paths. This program allows students to either create a customized degree or to choose a niche program that follows a prescribed list of courses, including a degree program in Hospitality and Events Management.

Position Summary
The successful candidate will oversee the Hospitality and Events Management program, including curriculum development, internship coordination, and with community and industry partners.
Salary
Starting at $60,000 annualized, commensurate with education, experience, and qualifications.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess a degree in hospitality, events management, or a related field. An M.A. or M.B.A is required. Ph.D. preferred.
Demonstrated teaching effectiveness.
Professional experience in hospitality, events management, or a related field.
This position requires the ability to maintain the security and integrity of UT San Antonio and its infrastructure.
