We are seeking a skilled and dependable General Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating machining equipment, reading blueprints, and producing high-quality parts to specification.
Key Responsibilities
Set up and operate manual and/or CNC machines (lathes, mills, grinders, etc.)
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions
Measure and inspect parts using precision tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
Maintain quality standards and ensure accuracy of finished products
Perform routine maintenance and keep machines and work areas clean
Follow all safety procedures and company policies
Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors
Qualifications
2+ years of machining experience preferred (Willing to train)
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Experience with measuring tools and inspection equipment
Basic math and problem-solving skills
Ability to work overtime as needed
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand for extended periods of time
Ability to lift up to 4050 lbs as needed
Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with dust and machinery
Schedule & Compensation
Full-time position (40 hours per week)
Overtime available/required based on production needs
Competitive pay based on experience
1st Shift hours operate between 7:45a.m to 4:15p.m & 2nd Shift hours operate between 4:15p.m. to 12:45a.m. (2nd shift earns a night shift differential of $0.80 p/hr) and Saturdays as required.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma or GED; College degree a plus. Equivalent combination of education and experience.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Manufacturing. Fast paced. Must be able to lift and or move up to 50 lbs.
