Inventory Management Technician

DCI Donor Services (DCIDS) is looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic team member to join us to save lives!! Our mission at DCIDS is to save lives through organ and tissue donation, and we want professionals on our team that will embrace this important work!! We are looking for an Inventory Management Technician who will be responsible for the freeze-drying and dehydration of allograft tissue. This position will prepare, ship, and receive all tissue regarding irradiation shipment.

DCI Donor Services operates three organ procurement/tissue recovery organizations: New Mexico Donor Services, Sierra Donor Services, and Tennessee Donor Services. We also maximize the gift of life through the DCI Donor Services Tissue Bank and Sierra Donor Services Eye Bank.

Key responsibilities this position will perform include:
Responsible for the loading, running, and unloading of tissue in the lyophilizer. Documents all tissue placed in the lyo on the lyo run sheets and performs electronic transactions in BTM system.
Responsible for the loading, running, and unloading of tissue in the Drying Oven. Documents all tissue placed in the Drying Oven on the Drying Oven run sheets.
Prepares and ships tissue for irradiation. Responsible for documenting all tissue shipped for irradiation and ensures all tissue shipped is received back from irradiation.
Participates in cleaning schedule to ensure the lyo room is cleaned and maintained according to procedures.
Responsible for the operation of the accusealer according to standard operating procedures after tissue has been lyophilized or dehydrated.
Responsible for the setup and operation of the moisture analyzer to conduct residual moisture testing on donor samples after the lyophilization run.
Acts as a role model for DCIDS by supporting, reinforcing, and exhibiting behaviors consistent with the DCIDS core values, which are: selfless, hardworking, passionate, and dependable.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate will have:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
One year in a regulated environment.
CTBS preferred.
Working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office Applications including Word and Excel required.
