Machine Operator

CoWorx has an opening for a Machine Operator for our key client in Somers, CT paying $18-20/hr for all shifts. This is an amazing opportunity to get started with a great company and welcoming culture.
Responsibilities:
Visually and dimensionally inspect and assemble parts to quality specifications, being aware of critical visual and dimensional defects and determining acceptability of the parts
Complete inspection records accurately
Ensure accurate packaging and traceability of product, including the correct labeling and accurate part count
Perform basic equipment troubleshooting on auxiliary equipment
Communicate with supervisor/lead operator regarding any unacceptable parts, malfunctions of the production process within their workstation, or safety issues
Utilize route sheets and work instructions to ensure parts meet both customer and internal requirements
Remove parts from injection molding machines during gate tended operations
Make use of auxiliary equipment to aid in the assembly process. Examples: sonic welders, heat sealers/shrink wrappers, and granulators
Perform routine cleaning of machines and work areas
Account for and record production and scrap counts
Follow all HACCP (Hazard and Critical Control Points) and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices)
Expected to be available for work in both the Somers and Ellington production facilities. Job location may be shifted daily or weekly to meet production needs. Support the organization's needs in various functions
Desired Background/Skills:
Must be 18 years old or older
Ability to work independently
This role requires proficiency in English to complete documentation and follow safety instructions.
Initiative, attention to detail, and the ability to work as a team player
Possession of basic math skills
Good motor skills
Ability to lift an average of 20 cartons per day with a maximum weight of 50 pounds each
Must be able to stand for 8-12 hours while turning, twisting, reaching, pulling, pushing, clutching, placing and lifting up to 50 pounds
ISO 9001/13485 knowledge
Working knowledge of IQMS and Teams
Prior manufacturing experience
