Assembly / Finish Supervisor
First Shift
We are assisting our client in Raeford, NC with the search for an experienced Assembly / Finish Supervisor to support their manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for overseeing production, safety, quality, and efficiency within the Assembly/Finish Department while providing day-to-day leadership to production employees in a non-union manufacturing environment.
The Supervisor works closely with the Production Manager and cross-functional teams to ensure manufacturing schedules are met and operational goals are achieved.
Key responsibilities include:
Execute manufacturing schedules based on production and management requirements
Supervise the manufacture and assembly of transformer cores and coils, woodwork and electrical connections, coil seating and related assembly activities for industrial power transformers
Ensure production targets, quality standards, and safety requirements are consistently met
Train, coach, and support employees on processes and procedures
Partner in the design, modification, and installation of specialized equipment
Understand and manage the manufacturing flow of products
Identify operational issues, recommend solutions, and implement improvements
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
Enforce department housekeeping standards
Perform other duties as assigned to support production objectives
Qualifications include:
Previous supervisory experience in manufacturing, production, or a related environment
Strong understanding of Electrical Engineering concepts
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematic drawings
Knowledge of production tools and manufacturing equipment
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Knowledge & skills include:
Ability to analyze problems, evaluate options, and implement effective solutions
Strong time management and organizational skills
Effective verbal and written communication abilities
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word)
Experience using production or workforce systems is a plus
Physical & work environment requirements include:
Ability to lift up to 60 lbs
Ability to stand for extended periods
Work in environments with heat, cold, loud noise, dust, grease, and dirt
Regular use of hand and power tools
Work schedule includes:
First shift, Monday through Friday
On-call availability may be required
Occasional overtime or weekend work based on production needs
