Juvenile Unit Data Entry Specialist

The Philadelphia District Attorney's Office Juvenile division has redesigned data, technology, and oversight mechanisms aligning its policies and practices with evidence-informed performance management procedures. This office is digitizing juvenile records and using the resulting data to reimagine possible outcomes for youth and public safety.
This unit focus is to help the Philadelphia District Attorney's Office provide transparency on the juvenile justice system through public reports; to enhance the internal policy decisions through evidence-informed policy and practice briefing. This District Attorney's Office (DAO) is seeking a Juvenile Unit Data Entry Specialist for the entry of juvenile arrests and court dispositions into the Juvenile Division's data and performance management platform and taking part in data quality audits.
Job Responsibilities

Perform data entry of past juvenile arrest and court deposition records for inclusion in juvenile database and dashboards to allow for comparison of trends in the juvenile justice system over time.
Data Quality & Integration

Assist in conducting regular data audits to ensure quality of intake and disposition records.
Assist with other data, research, and performance management projects as requested by Juvenile Diversion Data Quality and Integration Manager.
Skills & Qualifications

All qualified applicants must have earned a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
1-3 years of data entry experience in a nonprofit, governmental, or criminal justice system.
Proficiency in Microsoft suite including intermediate knowledge of Excel.
Ability to learn technology platforms quickly.
Must be comfortable facilitating difficult conversations about areas of improvement and addressing sensitive or potentially challenging feedback with leadership.
Detail-oriented; understands and appreciates importance of careful and accurate data entry.
Excellent written, oral, interpersonal communications skills.
Proven ability to work independently, including excellent time management.
Proven critical thinking skills and a willingness to learn.
A commitment to anti-corruption work is a must.
Candidates must be organized, flexible and capable of working under pressure.
