Primary Responsibilities: Safely loads/unloads material into/out of railcars/tank trucks/Isotainers; trains as a Chemical Operator for the Amines Manufacturing Unit.
Specific Responsibilities: Matches loading schedule to bill of lading. Verifies weight railcar/truck in prior to product transfer. Completes all loading record documentation. Completes all SAP activities. Ensures that truck/railcar is positioned and secured at proper loading rack. Visually inspects the railcar or truck to be involved in the upcoming transfer in order to ensure that it is mechanically sound, there is no defective equipment before loading or unloading, checks vessel for last product contained, that vessel is clean and dry, and vessel is within all regulatory certification test dates. Move railcars and assist other loaders in maintaining an organized railyard. Wears all protective clothing and equipment, including respirator and fresh air equipment that may be required to transfer the product in a manner that ensures maximum personal safety. Connects loading/unloading hoses. Loads railcar/truck/Isotainer according to loading instructions using gauges and/or strapping tables. Ensures that outages do not exceed Department of Transportation (DOT) certification for the particular vessel being loaded. Checks weight of railcar/truck/Isotainer after loading to ensure that gross weight does not exceed regulations. Communicates with facility supervisor on any problems as they occur. Disconnects loading arm/hose, secures all openings, inspect for any leaks and complete required paperwork prior to releasing the railcar/truck/Isotainer. Familiarize self and become proficient with the layout and operation of Amines Manufacturing Unit including all Standard Operating Procedures, Facility Safety Procedures, equipment location and operation.
As a condition of employment, actively participate in the Bucks Plant Emergency Response Team, Safely and proficiently complete any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
Skills/Qualifications: The ability to lift up to 100 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 lbs. of force frequently, and/or up to 20 lbs. of force constantly to move objects. The ability to climb ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles and the like. The ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, lift, grasp, talk, hear and have good vision. The ability to efficiently operate computers and ancillary equipment. The ability to competently read, write, and speak the English language. The ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. The ability to compute rate, ratio and percent. The ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed and involved written and oral instructions. The ability to effectively deal with problems involving multiple variables. The ability to work in a self-directed organization. The ability to organize and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. The ability to work outside in environmental conditions which, at times include extreme heat or extreme cold. Must have basic computer skills and functional knowledge of Microsoft suite application and SAP (S4HANA). The ability to meet medical standards for Personal Protective Equipment, Powered Industrial Equipment operation and Industrial Fire Brigade participation. A High School Diploma and five years of experience in chemical or industrial manufacturing; or graduation from a recognized Community College/Technical School with appropriate degree/certification.
The hourly rate for this position is $34.38. We offer a range of market-competitive total rewards that include periodic pay rate adjustments based on market competitiveness.
