The Warren-Newport Public Library District is looking for a service-oriented and organized
Access Services Community Coordinator
to manage the operational logistics of mobile and remote library services, public meeting room reservations, and the maintenance of outreach collections.
As a full-time Access Services Community Coordinator for
Warren-Newport Public Library , you'll work an average of 37.5 hours per week with a schedule of Monday from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and one Saturday shift per month (with Friday off when working on Saturday). Saturday hours are from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The starting hourly range is
$27.48 to $30.00 DOQ .
Here's what you'll do:
Plan, schedule, and coordinate all aspects of mobile service routes, including organizing Lobby Stops, Doorstep Delivery routes, and WNPL Book Boxes, to ensure services are delivered efficiently and on schedule.
Maintain and routinely update the specialized outreach collection, ensuring that materials are relevant and available to meet the unique needs of each delivery route and remote service.
Manage the service calendars and provide timely communication within the organization and to partner sites. Share updates about delivery schedules and promptly notify all stakeholders of any changes.
Oversee and manage public meeting room reservations using online systems, ensuring equitable internal coordination and clear communication of library policies to patrons and groups.
Staff internal and external access service points, delivering direct customer service to patrons and resolving inquiries related to access and delivery services promptly.
Track and record precise service metrics, such as the number of items delivered and the locations served, to support reporting on delivery efficiency and to assess the effectiveness of outreach efforts.
Generate reports and analyze data to identify areas for improvement in service delivery.

Requirements
To thrive in this role, you'll need:
Master's degree in Library Science (MLIS) or a related field preferred, or a Bachelor's degree with equivalent experience in a library setting.
A minimum of three years of public library experience is required, with direct involvement in outreach or coordination of offsite library services.
Familiarity with collection maintenance and scheduling tools is expected.
Strong understanding of library access procedures and relevant policies is essential.
Experience or comfort working with older adults and individuals with varying physical, cognitive, or sensory needs, with a focus on providing patient, respectful service.
A valid driver's license is required.
