Senior Data Scientist (AI/ML)

Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist to design, develop, and deploy advanced machine learning and AI solutions that drive business impact across healthcare-focused domains. This role will focus heavily on building predictive models, implementing agentic AI workflows, and leveraging modern techniques such as retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) to enhance model performance and decision-making capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze complex datasets to extract actionable insights and support strategic decision-making
Design, develop, and train machine learning models (supervised, unsupervised, deep learning, reinforcement learning)
Build and implement
agentic AI workflows
for autonomous task execution
Apply
RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation)
techniques to improve AI model outputs
Fine-tune pre-trained models for domain-specific performance optimization
Perform data cleaning, preprocessing, and validation to ensure data quality
Deploy and monitor AI/ML models in production environments
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, product, analytics) to integrate AI solutions
Support business initiatives such as improving star ratings, reducing care gaps, and enhancing operational efficiency
Present complex analytical findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Mentor junior data scientists and support project delivery
Stay current on AI/ML advancements and apply emerging techniques
Required Qualifications
6+ years of experience as a Data Scientist (healthcare experience preferred)
Strong programming skills in
Python and/or R
Experience with ML frameworks (TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch)
Solid understanding of statistical modeling and ML algorithms (k-NN, SVM, Naive Bayes, neural networks)
Experience with
Agentic AI workflows
and autonomous systems
Hands-on experience with
RAG techniques
Experience fine-tuning machine learning models
Strong data handling skills (SQL, NoSQL, ETL, data warehousing)
Experience with big data tools (Hadoop, Spark)
Familiarity with SDLC and data engineering concepts
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
Ability to work with unstructured data and complex problem spaces
PhD OR equivalent advanced experience
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with cloud platforms (Databricks, Snowflake, Azure AI Studio)
Background in NLP and/or computer vision
Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI)
Work Requirements
Must reside in one of the approved states: AZ, FL, GA, ID, IA, KY, MI, NE, NM, NY (outside NYC), OH, TX, UT, WA (outside Seattle), WI
Must be able to work in local timezone
Must have dual monitors and a docking station
