What You Will Be Doing:

As the Heavy Haul Driver you will be safely loading and delivering heavy rental equipment to customers or other Yancey locations with a high degree of customer service.
Primary Responsibilities:
Safely operate CDL assigned tractor and trailer combination
Maintain safe driving record and follow all safety guidelines for operating and loading equipment including the use of proper PPE at all times.
Maintain written and electronic DOT log book to be 100% in compliance.
Ensure that IR Mobile APP is utilized prior to shipping and after any delivery to our location.
Safely load and unload equipment onto assigned vehicles or trailers.
Inspect all equipment for safe operation and cleanliness as final check before leaving the yard on each delivery.
Obtain customer signature on rental contracts and damage inspection sheets at time of delivery on >80% of deliveries.
Provide customer overview of equipment operation upon delivery.
Inspect equipment for customer damage and safe operation before loading at customer location. Take pictures for documentation on any issues prior to loading.
Demonstrate customer service in a positive manner with all customers, both external and internal.
Additional Responsibilities:
Participate in required safety program and work in a safe manner.
Additional duties as assigned by manager.
Who We Are Looking For:

To be successful in this position you should be able to safely operate the assigned tractor and trailer combination assigned for the job. You should possess a strong sense of urgency and desire to provide superior customer service. The ability to keep accurate records and provide guidance to customers with regards to equipment operation is essential to this position as well.
Education/Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Required Qualifications/Skills:
Valid CDL Class A driver's license.
Ability to manage electronic DOT log books and delivery software via electronic tablets.
Capable and competent in operating and loading a variety of machines onto assigned vehicles or trailers.
Customer service oriented with the willingness to go above and beyond expectations with a great attitude.
