PRIMARY PURPOSE OF YOUR JOB POSITION
The primary purpose of your job position is to pour and administer all routine prescription medications as directed by the resident's physician except for injections and narcotics. Maintain all record keeping and document all medication administration in the EMAR. You are also responsible for assisting in providing safety, comfort, and well-being of the resident. You must carry out assigned duties, in accordance with current existing federal and state regulations and established facility policies and procedures.
Qualifications
Minimum of a high school diploma or GED and completion of the state Approved training program, including on-the-job training.
Must hold a current Rhode Island Certified Nursing Assistant license and a current Medication Administration license.
Must have knowledge of procedures and techniques involved in administrating simple treatments and providing related bedside resident-care service.
Must have a good understanding of standard precautions to prevent the spread of infection.
Have knowledge of the assessment process and the development and execution of care plans.
