Banquet Operations Set Up Crew (Porter)

Location: Snowbird
Status: On call, Seasonal- $16/hr, plus service charge
Schedule: Varies
Summary
As a Conference Operations Set Up Crew member you will be responsible for the setting up of all events and cleanliness of event spaces according to banquet event orders and conference operations standards.
What You'll Do
Work with a team, managed by a lead, each shift to complete a task list of projects necessary for success of upcoming banquets
Set up and tear down for all events (moving and setting chairs, tables, linens) in accordance with the banquet event order
Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and organization across events, back of house hallways, and storage spaces to ensure that all areas are conducive to productivity and presentable ( i.e. vacuuming, dusting, wiping tables, taking out trash, organizing).
Maintain all equipment ( i.e. fixing vacuums, tables, chairs)
Complete all tasks within Snowbird's health and safety guidelines.
What You Need To Get The Job Done
Must be at least 18 years of age.
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
0-6 months of job-specific work experience with demonstrated competence.
Proven ability to maintain an organized and efficient workspace
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work well within a team and be self-motivated
Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
Work Schedule
Shifts vary, maybe early morning or late evening, weekends, holidays, depending on business levels. Examples of shifts may include 5:30 am 1 pm and 4 pm 2 am.
Scheduling is based on business demands.
Working Conditions
Must be prepared to stay overnight, if necessary, on occasional times of road closures.
May experience unusual stress from continual work with public, winter conditions, snow night requirements and commuting to/from Snowbird.
Must be able to lift 75-100 lbs.
Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
Must be able to walk 10,000 plus steps per day at 8,000 to 11,000 feet of altitude.
Work may be outdoors and may require exposure to cold or heat and other extreme weather conditions.
Other/Additional: Stress may occur for several reasons: Quick turns in meeting rooms, client's request to change previously agreed upon room set, large physical demand, constantly changing environment, deadlines of events, attention to detail indoors and out.
