Pay Rate: $25$30 per hour
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Welder / Fitter / Fabricator to join a growing industrial fabrication team in Jacksonville, Florida. This role focuses on fabricating and fitting carbon steel and stainless steel components for certified tanks and pressure vessels used in water filtration and other high?pressure systems. The ideal candidate is skilled in flux core welding, blueprint reading, and structural fitting, and is comfortable working at heights and in enclosed spaces.
A fluxcore X?ray weld test is required due to certification standards.
Key Responsibilities
Fabricate metal parts and finish units using carbon and stainless steel
Fit and fabricate pipe or structural steel for certified tanks and pressure vessels
Cut and prepare your own metal for fabrication and assembly
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and layouts
Assemble and fit structural steel components, including beams, frames, and columns
Fit and prepare pressure vessel components such as shells, heads, and nozzles
Work at heights up to 13 feet and enter tanks as required
Successfully pass a fluxcore X?ray weld test
Required Skills & Experience
25+ years of industrial fabrication experience
Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings
Experience working with "12" steel pipe (Schedule 40)
Proficiency in flux core welding, fitting, and metal fabrication
Hands?on experience with carbon steel, stainless steel pipe, and pressure vessels
Preferred Qualifications
Fluxcore welding certification
ASME certification or equivalent experience
Experience as a structural fitter or pressure vessel fabricator
Combo welder/fabricator experience
Compensation & Growth
$25$30/hour, based on experience
$1/hour increase upon conversion to permanent employee
Eligibility for up to two bonuses per year
Annual performance evaluations with raise potential

Work Environment & Schedule
Heavy industrial environment in an open?air shop with roof covering
Exposure to hot, cold, and dusty conditions (facility upgrades in progress)
Night Shift:
MondayThursday: 4:30 PM
3:15 AM
Additional shifts on Friday and Saturday as needed
Training may occur on 1st shift:
MondayFriday: 6:00 AM
