US Department of Defense - - Responsibilities: Analyze witness statements, regulations, policies, and evidentiary sources to determine if the preponderance of the evidence substantiates the allegation; Receive incoming complaints or allegations regarding a wide range of possible conduct violations; Conduct a preliminary analysis to clearly define specific allegations and identify a tentative course of action; Research laws, regulations, instructions, and local policies to determine applicability to the type of allegation; Plan an in-depth investigation to ascertain objective facts pertinent to the cause and outcome of the incident
