The Accountant supports the financial operations of Grand River Health by ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining accounting records, and supporting compliance with applicable regulations. This role analyzes financial data, prepares reports, and assists with month-end and year-end processes to support informed decision-making across the organization.
Prepare and maintain accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
Reconcile bank statements, general ledger accounts, and cash balances
Complete month-end and year-end close procedures
Maintain accurate financial records, including journal entries and account analysis
Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and applicable regulations
Support audits, prepare required documentation, and recommend process improvements
Provide financial analysis, respond to inquiries, and support accounting operations
Who We're Looking For
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field preferred
One to six years of working experience in a similar role and experience in a hospital setting, and/or CPA license preferred
