Shipping Coordinator

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Shipping Coordinator is primarily responsible for scheduling and selecting the modes of transportation for personnel and equipment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Act as a liaison between carrier and organization to maintain open communication; hold vendors accountable for not meeting service level agreements (SLAs).
Communicate transportation status to various stakeholders including but not limited to sales representatives, brokers, customers, vendors, and management
Coordinate Damage in transit (OS&D)
Create and distribute weekly shipping reports, customer pick up schedules and daily sales order reports
Forecast, schedule and track daily schedule of shipments including but not limited to shuttle coordination; use production schedule to determine required daily capacity; makes recommendations to daily shipment problems
Preparing production packets for homes to be built on a daily basis
Preparing shipping packets for homes to be shipped on a daily basis
Data Entry on a daily basis
Filing
Scanning in documents to corporate
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma, GED or equivalent
One (1) year Logistics experience
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including skills with Outlook, Word and Excel
The ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure, meet deadlines, present a professional demeanor and work well independently and within a team environment
Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships
Extreme attention to detail and strong organizational skills
