JOB SUMMARY

The Inventory Analyst is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records and supporting daily inventory control activities within a manufacturing and repair environment for industrial gas turbine components. This role is highly operational and hands-on, with a strong focus on cycle counting, inventory accuracy, material movement discipline, and root cause investigation. The Inventory Analyst works closely with Production, Shipping & Receiving, Purchasing, and Planning to ensure inventory is properly tracked by material number, serial number, and storage location.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The essential functions of the job include, but are not limited to, the following:

Execute and manage the cycle count program, including scheduling, counting, reconciliation, and reporting
Perform regular cycle counts of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods inventory
Reconcile count results in SAP and partner with stakeholders to resolve discrepancies
Reconcile inventory data between SAP and warehouse management systems
Investigate inventory discrepancies and perform root cause analysis
Support bin verification and location audits to ensure proper storage and labeling
Maintain accurate cycle count documentation and audit trails
Coordinate physical inventory events, including annual wall-to-wall counts
Monitor inventory transactions to ensure proper SAP posting discipline
Ensure accurate inventory levels across all storage locations
Support daily inventory movement processes including receipts, transfers, issues, and shipments
Ensure materials are properly staged, labeled, and transacted during operations
Track customer-owned inventory, including serialized turbine components
Partner with production teams to ensure proper issuing and backflushing to work orders
Track and report inventory accuracy metrics (cycle count accuracy, adjustment trends, location accuracy)
Identify and drive process improvement opportunities to strengthen inventory controls
Develop standard work procedures for inventory control processes
Support internal audits and compliance requirements related to inventory and traceability
Maintain and validate SAP master data impacting inventory accuracy
Ensure inventory adjustments are properly documented and approved
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve transaction accuracy and system discipline
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education & Training
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or related field (or equivalent experience)

Skills/Experience

2+ years of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or manufacturing inventory management
Strong experience with cycle counting and discrepancy resolution
Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP preferred)
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, reporting)
Experience in manufacturing, repair, aerospace, or heavy industrial environments
Experience with serialized inventory and traceability requirements
Working knowledge of SAP inventory transactions (goods receipt, goods issue, transfer postings, adjustments)
Experience supporting physical inventory audits and compliance programs
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
Root cause problem-solving and investigative mindset
Ability to work on the shop floor and in warehouse environments
Strong communication skills and cross-functional collaboration
High sense of ownership and accountability for inventory accuracy
Regular time spent in warehouse and production environments
Occasional lifting or movement of materials up to 40 lbs.
May require off-shift or weekend support during physical inventories or urgent investigations
