Automotive Cashier
to manage customer payments for vehicle services, parts, and sales in a dealership or repair shop, typically requiring a high school diploma, strong cash-handling skills, and exceptional customer service. Key duties include processing invoices, operating payment systems, reconciling daily cash drawers, and greeting customers.
Key Responsibilities
Payment Processing:
Compute customer bills for service, parts, and vehicle sales using cash, credit cards, and checks.
Customer Service:
Greet customers, answer inquiries regarding invoices, and handle complaints with professionalism.
Financial Reconciliation:
Reconcile cash drawers daily and balance daily cash, check, and credit card receipts.
Clerical Support:
Maintain filing systems for repair orders and assist with administrative tasks, such as operating the dealership switchboard.
Service Coordination:
Update service files and ensure all invoices are properly closed and documented.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Education:
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Experience:
Previous experience in cash handling, retail, or a similar service role is highly preferred.
Skills:
Strong mathematical ability, proficiency with computer systems, and attention to detail.
Attributes:
Excellent communication, professionalism, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Requirements
Positioning:
Frequently required to sit, stand, and use hands to handle or feel.
Lifting:
Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
