Tooling And Die Technician
Tooling and Die Technician role involves providing support in various aspects of tooling and die maintenance, organization, and documentation. Responsibilities include assisting with project coordination, inventory management, basic engineering tasks, shop print interpretation, and equipment operation. This role requires a willingness to learn and develop skills in the field of tooling and die technology, with on-the-job training provided.
Responsibilities:
Assist in coordinating staff and resources for projects.
Support the maintenance of inventory records.
Help with the organization and maintenance of tooling manuals and templates.
Aid in compliance documentation upkeep.
Assist in basic engineering tasks and part modifications.
Support shop tasks prioritization.
Assist in interpreting shop prints.
Aid in monitoring and organizing die storage.
Assist in material research and specification.
Learn to operate lift trucks and maintain equipment.
Support proper use of the die wash system.
Follow spill prevention protocols.
Help maintain organized die inventory.
Assist in recommending alternatives for missing or damaged tooling.
Support liner fit-up for production.
Learn to identify die types and dimensions accurately.
Perform other tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
Willingness to learn and grow in the role.
Basic understanding of coordination and project support.
Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision.
Interest in mechanical systems and problem-solving.
Basic computer skills, with a willingness to learn Microsoft Suite.
Ability to read and write in English; Spanish proficiency is a plus.
forklift operation experience
Education and/or Experience:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Some experience: on-the-job training provided.
