Assembly Technician
We are seeking a skilled Assembly Technician to join our team and contribute to the assembly and tooling of new and used packaging equipment. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong documentation and troubleshooting skills, as well as a proficiency in using various measuring devices and machine shop tools.
Responsibilities
Assemble and tool new and used packaging equipment.
Utilize measuring devices such as tape measures, sound and temperature sensors.
Apply shop math skills for accurate machine assembly.
Document machine assembly details, as built specifications, and correct assembly Bills of Material.
Troubleshoot and perform machine center-lining, requiring diagnostic skills from experience with packaging equipment.
Use hand drills and basic machine shop tools including lathe, milling machine, hand grinders, hand polishing, sheet metal break, and sheet metal shear.
Repair and troubleshoot pneumatic components.
Apply basic electrical skills, including reading simple schematic/wiring diagrams.
Perform basic tig welding.
Conduct set up and change-over of packaging machines.
Understand mechanical working principles of packaging machines and equipment.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in assembly and tooling of packaging equipment.
Experience with measuring devices and shop math.
Strong documentation skills.
Troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
Familiarity with machine shop tools.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Basic electrical skills with schematic/wiring diagrams.
Basic tig welding experience.
Previous experience with packaging machine set up and change-over.
Knowledge of pneumatic components.
High school diploma required; technical school or some college preferred.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
