Deburring Technician

Join a dynamic machine and pump repair shop as a Deburring Technician. This role involves preparing and cleaning machined parts before final assembly or shipping to customers. You will work with metal products ranging from 8" to 30", weighing between 10lbs to 250lbs. Additionally, you will perform general duties around the shop, including clean-up, warehouse tasks, and assembly assistance. As you grow in the position, you will be cross-trained to balance impellers.
Responsibilities
Prepare and clean machined parts for final assembly or shipment.
Grind, deburr, and polish cast metal products.
Assist with general shop duties such as cleaning, warehouse tasks, and assembly help.
Operate hand and power tools for metal finishing, sanding, and buffing.
Support the fabrication department as needed.
Essential Skills
Experience in grinding and deburring.
Manufacturing or machine shop experience.
Proficiency with tape measures, hand tools, and power tools.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in polishing, assembly, and metal finishing.
Familiarity with lubrication, hydro testing, and balancing impellers.
Carpentry and general labor skills.

Work Environment
The work environment includes climate-controlled areas, though you will also work in non-climate-controlled spaces. Collaborate with warehouse workers, pump mechanics, machinists, and welders. The dress code requires steel-toed boots, jeans, and a work shirt. The day shift runs from 7:00 AM, Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturdays based on workflow. Overtime and weekend work may be required depending on production needs, with an expected workweek of 40 to 45 hours.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Houston, TX.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
