About the Role
PROMAN Staffing is seeking a driven, people‑focused
Recruiter
to support high‑volume hiring and daily branch operations at our Houston location. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, enjoys face‑to‑face interaction, and takes pride in delivering a positive candidate and employee experience while keeping operations running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
Candidate & Employee Experience:
Serve as the first point of contact for walk‑in applicants, support onboarding and pre‑employment requirements, conduct group orientations, and clearly communicate job expectations and assignment details.
Recruiting & Staffing Support:
Screen and evaluate candidates to support high fill rates and customer satisfaction; assist Skilled Recruiters by identifying qualified candidates for skilled roles.
Branch Operations & Client Support:
Manage daily employee and client communications including call‑offs, arrivals, and dispatch needs; maintain strong working relationships with clients and promptly resolve service issues.
Payroll, Systems & Compliance:
Ensure accuracy of all hiring documentation (I‑9s, W‑4s, applications, medical forms), process weekly payroll, and maintain accurate, up‑to‑date records in Avionté.
Team & Field Engagement:
Visit client sites to understand job environments, coach and counsel employees as needed, cross‑train within the branch, and contribute to a collaborative team culture.
Qualifications & Skills
High school diploma or equivalent
Experience in customer service, staffing, HR, or a fast‑paced service environment
Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; Avionté experience preferred
Dependable, adaptable, and comfortable working in a changing business environment
Bilingual (English/Spanish) s
Experience in industrial, manufacturing, or logistics environments is helpful
Work Environment
Primarily office‑based, including reception and applicant kiosk interaction
Occasional on‑site visits to client locations; ability to walk long distances as needed
May include light lifting, standing, bending, or filing
Occasional travel to other branches for coverage support
