Now Hiring: Bindery Machine Operators

Location: Plymouth and Minnetonka
Schedules: 1st Shift 6AM-2:30PM OR 2:00PM-10:30PM

About the Role

Are you mechanically inclined, detail-driven, and energized by a fast-paced production environment? Join our team as a Bindery Machine Operator, where you'll set up, operate, and maintain bindery and finishing equipment to produce high-quality printed materials. You'll work with both machinery and hands-on finishing tasks, ensuring every product meets precise quality standards.

What You'll Do

Review work orders to understand job specifications and production requirements
Set up and operate a Rollem machine to cut, sort, and collate full sheets
Load materials and monitor machine performance for accuracy and consistency
Inspect stitched, collated, bound, and unbound products for defects
Perform hand bindery tasks: kitting, collating, sorting, finishing, and assembly
Apply stickers, labels, and other finishing components
Stitch or glue bindings, endpapers, and signatures using machines or manual tools
Accept or reject finished products based on quality standards
Perform routine maintenance and assist with equipment repairs or rebuilds
Troubleshoot machine issues to minimize downtime
Essential Skills & Experience

1+ year of bindery experience

with equipment such as laminators, gluers, folders, stitchers, or perfect binders
OR strong machine operating skills at a set up level with manual machines
Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort working around production machinery
Experience with machine setup and operation in a print or bindery environment
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
Excellent attention to detail and ability to spot defects
Ability to follow written instructions and work orders accurately
Experience performing quality checks on printed or bound materials
Troubleshooting skills for bindery or printing equipment
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced production setting
Experience in cutting, folding, stitching, gluing, and kitting
Reliability in meeting production schedules and quality expectations
Work Environment

You'll work in a clean, well-maintained printing and bindery facility with active production equipment. The environment is:
Fast-paced and hands-on
Well lit and climate controlled (with some temperature fluctuation near dock doors)
Moderately loud due to running machinery
Physically active, requiring standing, moving materials, and operating equipment throughout the day

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Plymouth, MN.
Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
