Grounds Maintenance Account Manager
Green View has been serving Central Illinois since 1955, a family-owned landscape design, installation, and maintenance company with locations across Peoria, Bloomington, Springfield, and Champaign. As a Grounds Maintenance Account Manager, you will own a book of business and the outcomes behind it: budgeting, sales, job management, quality, and client retention across mowing, bed maintenance, enhancements, irrigation, turf, and plant healthcare. You will be the primary point of contact for your clients and the operational leader for your crews.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Set yearly budgets with the Division Director based on historical data and a strategic approach to growth
Prospect, estimate, and close maintenance contracts and seasonal add-ons; renew recurring contracts and generate enhancement upsells from site walks
Plan weekly schedules and optimize routes, aligning labor and materials to hit deadlines and quality standards
Serve as primary client contact: conduct site walks, present proposals, resolve issues quickly, and ensure timely payment collection
Coach crew leaders, run quality audits, lead weekly team meetings, and reinforce safety and workmanship standards
Track key indicators including hours vs. estimate, gross margin, callbacks, and incidents; take corrective action when needed
Coordinate with Inventory and Shop on materials and equipment; align with Office and Admin on invoicing accuracy
Represent Green View through community and nonprofit involvement to build relationships and develop future clients
Plan and execute snow operations including routes, callouts, and vendor coordination for your accounts
What We're Looking For
3 or more years in landscape maintenance account management or operations with direct client ownership
Proven track record selling and renewing maintenance services and generating enhancement upsells
Hands-on credibility across maintenance services, comfortable on site and in the field
Strong communication skills with customers and crews, and steady under pressure
Ability to manage to KPIs and take data-driven action
Experience with Aspire or similar operations software and basic Excel; BambooHR familiarity is a plus
Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record; available for seasonal peaks and snow operations

Base salary starting at $60,000 and up to $120,000 with uncapped commission
