Shipping Scheduler

The Shipping Scheduler coordinates daily shipping operations, transportation schedules, and dock activities to ensure on-time delivery of customer orders. This role supports logistics, warehouse operations, inventory control, and supply chain coordination by developing loading schedules, verifying shipment accuracy, and monitoring carrier performance. The Shipping Scheduler works closely with production, transportation providers, warehouse staff, and logistics teams to maintain efficient shipping operations in a fast-paced manufacturing and distribution environment. This position plays a critical role in ensuring accurate order fulfillment, optimized freight utilization, and compliance with company safety and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities

Review and confirm customer purchase orders, shipping requirements, and delivery schedules

Develop and maintain daily loading and transportation schedules based on order volume, production output, and carrier availability

Coordinate dock assignments, trailer staging, and shipping equipment readiness

Verify shipping volumes and reconcile freight routes, delivery timelines, and carrier capacity

Maximize trailer utilization and freight efficiency

Enter and maintain shipment plans in logistics, shipping, and inventory tracking systems

Monitor dock operations, warehouse inventory withdrawals, and loading progress to prevent shipping delays

Track expedited orders and priority shipments and adjust schedules accordingly

Conduct shipping dock safety inspections and report concerns in accordance with company safety policies

Prepare daily shipping reports, logistics performance metrics, and inventory withdrawal summaries

Monitor shipping label inventory and coordinate replenishment

Communicate shipping updates with production, logistics, warehouse teams, and transportation carriers

Follow company safety procedures, attendance standards, and operational policies

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field preferred

Bilingual in English and Korean preferred

Experience in shipping coordination, logistics scheduling, warehouse operations, or supply chain support

Required Skills & Competencies

Knowledge of transportation scheduling, freight coordination, shipping documentation, and inventory management

Experience with logistics software, shipping systems, or ERP platforms

Strong time management, scheduling, and organizational skills

Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced manufacturing or distribution environment

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word

Strong data entry accuracy and attention to detail

Problem-solving skills and the ability to adjust shipping schedules quickly

Effective verbal and written communication skills

Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, logistics, and warehouse operations

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

This position operates in both office and manufacturing plant environments within a distribution and production facility. Work is performed in a well-lit, temperature-controlled office setting with periodic exposure to warehouse, shipping dock, and outdoor conditions. The role may require occasional lifting of materials up to 25 pounds.
