Shipping And Logistics Coordinator

Coordinates daily shipping activities, manages shipping personnel, maintains compliance with safety and quality standards, and supports continuous improvement initiatives to optimize plant logistics performance.
Supervises and coordinates daily shipping activities, including order picking, staging, packaging, labeling, and loading of outbound freight and unloading of inbound freight.
Ensures all shipments meet customer requirements, carrier specifications, and company quality standards.
Verifies accuracy of shipping documentation (BOLs, packing lists, customs paperwork, ASN files, etc.).
Schedules carrier pickups and manages transportation arrangements to meet delivery deadlines.
Monitors shipment status and resolves any transportation or delivery issues.
Collaborates with Production, Warehouse, and Customer Service to ensure order accuracy and on-time shipping.
Maintains accurate records of shipped orders, freight claims, carrier performance, and shipping metrics.
Supports cycle counts and inventory accuracy initiatives as needed.
Coordinates with purchasing and receiving departments to ensure timely and accurate receipt of incoming inventory.
Assists in developing and implementing inventory control policies, procedures, and best practices.
Oversees all Return Material Authorization (RMA) product and processes.
Communicates with suppliers and vendors regarding receiving issues, returns, and replenishment orders.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
3+ years of experience in shipping, logistics, or warehouse operations (manufacturing environment preferred).
1+ year of supervisory or lead experience.
Strong organizational and time management skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
Analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify and resolve shipping issues.
Proficiency with ERP/WMS systems and shipping software (UPS/FedEx/DHL portals).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
Knowledge of inventory control principles, practices, and methodologies.
Adaptability and flexibility to adjust to changing inventory needs and priorities.
Ability to read production schedules, shipping documents, and technical specifications.
Aptitude to use small hand tools, RF scan guns, and stand up forklift equipment.
Ability to operate material-handling equipment (forklift certification preferred).
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and/or sitting and reaching with hands and arms.
May occasionally climb stairs, drive vehicles, and operate equipment.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time.
