Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) Assistant Manager- NY, NJ, or PA

Position Overview: A BSA Assistant Manager (BSAAM) assists with management of all BSA/AML/OFAC functions of the Credit Union to include but not limited to the development, implementation, and administration of the policies, programs, procedures and processes through the management and leadership of BSA Department personnel. The BSAAM will be the Assistant BSA/AML/OFAC Compliance Officer and act as the back up to the Director of Risk Mitigation.
Position Type: Full-Time. Typical shifts include Monday through Friday 8:00AM to 5:00PM.
Compensation Range: $ 65,000/yr. - $90,000/yr. *Hiring rates may be dependent on a number of factors, including years of directly related work experience, education, geographic location or special skills*
Location: Position is located in our Endwell, NY, Muhlenberg, PA or Saddle Brook, NJ. Some travel to Endwell, NY is expected.

Responsibilities/Duties:
Provide daily supervision and guidance to BSA Coordinator and Investigative Analysts I and II.
Delegate tasks and responsibilities effectively and ensure BSA staff understand their roles and expectations.
Monitor BSA staff performance and provide regular feedback and corrective action as necessary.
Address and resolve any issues or conflicts within the BSA Department or externally with other departments.
Serve as a point of escalation for complex BSA challenges that Coordinators and Analysts are unable to resolve.
Serve as the Assistant BSA Officer.
Create individual development and succession plans for assigned staff.
Manage, prioritize, and assist the workload of the BSA team to ensure timely and accurate completion of projects and tasks Respond and assist the BSA Coordinator and Analysts to resolve member and staff inquiries or issues within the timelines set forth.
Assist Director of Risk Mitigation to ensure all BSA/AML/OFAC compliance standards are being met and intervene as needed.
Assist the Director of Risk Mitigation with annual policy, program, procedure, process and risk assessment updates and make recommendations for improvements.
Review, approve, and ensure that all BSA processes and tasks carried out by the Coordinators and Analysts meet organizational standards and comply with legal and procedural requirements.
Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on BSA, best practices and reporting procedures.
Remain up to date with federal, state and local laws and regulations to ensure enterprise-wide compliance for all aspects of BSA/AML/OFAC.
Assist with compiling information for all BSA audits and examinations and collaborate with enterprise leadership as needed.
Provides departmental back-up coverage as needed.
Respond effectively to changing ideas, responsibilities, expectations, trends, strategies, and other processes.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor's degree with 1-3 years of related experience; 4-6 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Leadership experience expected
Working knowledge of various federal, state and local laws, rules and regulations.
Proficient in the application of FRAML, and case management programs.
Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite programs.
Proficient with standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines, PCs, etc.

Masters degree in Criminal Justice, Fraud Investigation or Accounting.
